A day just for the kids! This Memorial Day enjoy a pleasant day at Flamingo Gardens and Everglades Wildlife Sanctuary with complimentary games, activities, and entertainment for the young ones- including free pony rides in the gardens from 11am-3pm, Otter John and his animal friends, special Wildlife Encounters, bounce house, a kid's merchandise fair, and more.

Rooti Tooti Tropi-Fruity

Kick off the summer fruit harvest with Flamingo Gardens' Rooti Tooti Tropi-Fruity Festival with tropical and rare fruits and vegetables plants for sale. Take a guided tour of Flamingo Gardens' fruit trees and get growing tips from the experts. Enjoy live music while eating tropical fare from Tropical Palate. Enjoy interactive cooking demonstrations with 12 year old Chazz Darby Co-author of My Own Food and his co-author Mom, Dorette Darby, author of Tropical Palate Taste of Jamaica and Tropical Palate Taste of the Islands. Delight your tastebuds with Tropical fruit smoothies and treats. Kids will enjoy the Tooti Fruity Fun Zone.

First Friday Food Trucks
5pm - 9pm
Gourmet Food Trucks tantalize your tastebuds with foods from around the globe and DJ Mike spins the tunes that make you move. This month, the Beer & Wine Tent proceeds will go toward building the Black Bear Habitat. Free Parking and Free entry to the food trucks and courtyard.

Fathers Day Weekend features strange and exotic "creatures" not normally seen at Flamingo Grardens. The one-weekend-only exhibit includes strange creatures like hissing cockroaches and tarantulas, great reptiles like the Burmese python and Brazilian Rainbow boa, and exotic mammals like the chinchilla and kinkajou. Underground Reptiles will be on hand at Noon each day to show you even more strange and exotic creatures. Kids, bring Dad to help make a "creature" craft, play a game, or even challenge him to eat a bug at the Edible Bug Station.
