FLAMINGO GARDENS CAMERA CLUB

Monthly meetings take place the second (or first) Saturday of every month at Flamingo Gardens. Once a month, Camera Club members enjoy early 8:00am entry to Flamingo Gardens to capture morning light followed by a 10am meeting with lectures, tips, and lessons from award winning wildlife and landscape photographer Lorenzo Cassina and other guests lecturers. Camera Club members are also eligible to participate in an annual Gallery exhibit and receive one free pass for a photo friend to join them for early entry.

COST
You must be a current member of Flamingo Gardens to participate in the Camera Club. Camera Club dues are an additional $100 to help defray the cost of the meetings and lectures.

The Flamingo Gardens Orchid Society meets the second Monday of each month at 7:30pm in the Gallery at Flamingo Gardens. Guests speakers provide insight on the culture, growing, hybridization, preservation, and perpetuation of native and hybrid orchids.

Flamingo Gardens ORcHIDTEERS

Thursdays weekly, and 2nd Saturday

Orchidteers are a new group of volunteers that meet monthly to help hang and care for orchids in the gardens. Their goal is to blanket Flamingo Gardens in native and tropical orhids. The Orchidteers usually meet the second Saturday of the month at 10am for a demonstration from an orchid expert, followed by hands-on experience hanging new orchids or caring for existing orchids.


​June 2, 10:00am come help FAU staff and the Orchidteers hang native orchids in the Pioneer Walkway and in the new Cycad Gardens as part of the "Million Orchids Project". Call Volunteer Services for more information at (954) 473-2955 x 134.
