About David Rogers Big Bugs Exhibit
These imaginative displays are the work of David Rogers, a New York–based self-taught artist. Rogers creates the sculptures using various combinations of cut green saplings selectively harvested from the willow family, dry branches and other forest materials. Since its debut in 1994, his Big Bugs exhibit has traveled all across the United States including such prestigious gardens as the New York Botanical Garden, the Epcot Flower Show, and Longwood Gardens. It provides a visually stunning platform for educational programs and interaction with nature. More at:

Gigantic bugs are invading Flamingo Gardens this summer!

Visitors of all ages will enjoy the whimsy and craftsmanship of these 10 giant insect sculptures created from willow limbs, twigs, and branches by artist
David Rogers, nestled among the pathways through Flamingo Gardens.

In the gardens you'll come upon enormous ants marching to a picnic, a giant spider dangling from a tree, and a humongous dragonfly hovering over the water. Highlights of the exhibit include a 10' tall Daddy Long Legs and a 17' long Praying Mantis!

Inside the Gallery you will discover some of the fascinating insects of South Florida and the Everglades, including live specimens!

The exhibit is included with admission to Flamingo Gardens and open to the public 7 days a week 9:30am to 5:00pm. Last tickets sold at 4:00pm.
