Immerse yourself in history with this new exhibit featuring displays of authentic 400-year-old historical artifacts and replica suits of conquistador armor, weapons, trade goods, clothing, and cooking equipment that tell the story of the men and women who claimed “La Florida” as their own. Experience the tales of Florida’s first visitors and learn how Florida came to be colonized by English buccaneers and Spanish explorers. 

Archaeologist and Public Historian Robert Feeney will be in the Gallery on these select weekends with additional artifacts and insights into the lives of the Conquistadors:
